Master-Healing Singing Bowl Set #98: Lotus (8 pc.)
This is an authentic antique Legendary-quality®, 8-piece Chakra-tuned Tibetan Singing Bowl Set of Lotus ("Coprabati") type bowls matched on the rims (the tones produced when played around-the-rims). Consisting of seven antique Lotus ("Coprabati") and one antique High-wall ("Jambati") singing bowls, in a tuned sequence of harmonically-balanced tones in the 4th octave. Note that four of the singing bowls are Concert Pitch on fundamental tones, one is Concert pitch on both fundamental and rim, and one is Concert Pitch minus 1 Hertz fundamental.
This antique singing bowl set includes one each of the following hand-forged bell-metal bronze singing bowls:
* C4 264 Hz. (Root), HW 9 5/8" diameter, circa 18th century
* D4 300 Hz. (Sacral), Lotus 7" diameter, circa 17th century
* E4 325 Hz. (Solar Plexus), Lotus 7 3/8" diameter, circa 18th century
* F4 340 Hz. (Heart), Lotus 7 5/8" diameter, circa 18th century
* G4 401 Hz. (Throat), Lotus 6 3/4" diameter, circa 18th century
* A4 440 Hz. (3rd eye/Pineal gland) (Concert Pitch), Lotus 6 5/8" diameter, circa 19th century
* B4 483 Hz. (Crown), Lotus 7 1/4" diameter, circa 19th century
* C5 515 Hz. (Root), Lotus 7 1/4" diameter, circa 18th century
The fundamental tones of the singing bowls are: F#2 93 Hz. (Concert pitch), G#2 103 Hz. (Concert pitch), A#2 115 Hz. (Concert Pitch -1 Hz.), A#2 116 Hz. (Concert pitch), C#3 138 Hz. (Concert pitch), D#3 155 Hz. (Concert Pitch), F3 170 Hz. (Heart chakra) and F3 177 Hz. (Heart chakra).
This Lotus Set is the exception to the rule. Meaning, 2nd octave fundamentals only occur in much larger singing bowls, but due to the thinner walls of the Lotus ("Coprabati") type singing bowls they are the exception. It's very hard to find really great Lotus bowls like these. Again, this is due to the fact that they have thinner walls and therefore they wear out much faster than other thicker walled antique singing bowls. I was very fortunate when collecting in the Himalayas to find these seven Lotus bowls in order to match them into this set.
About the Sound Sample:
IMPORTANT-- Use your EARPHONES to enjoy & experience the true sound of this singing bowl set! (Especially with laptops, tablets, mobile and cellphones as their speakers cannot accurately reproduce the richness and wide dynamic range of a singing bowl's tones.)
